Eiji Aonuma had a short Q/A on The Legend of Zelda’s Facebook page recently! Hit the jump to find out why his favorite character in The Wind Waker is himself! (Along with a couple other cool tidbits about the upcoming Legend of Zelda games!)
Below is the full three fan-submitted question Q/A. It’s not particularly meaty, but it does give some insight into what new features the series’ producer is excited about in upcoming games (and of course, as the title says, why he enjoys himself so much in The Wind Waker).
1. What are you most excited about in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Wii U?
Because of all the creativity I have seen on Miiverse, I’m most looking forward to what people will do with the Tingle Bottles and how they use that feature outside of the main story.2. Who is your favorite character in the original The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker?
My favorite character is the King of Hyrule. I wrote all of his text, so he’s kind of like me in the game.3. What feature in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds are you most looking forward to experiencing?
I think I would have to say turning Link into a drawing. In the process of development, sometimes I will be playing with the top-down view and get stuck. I ask my team if they have finished designing the level yet, and they have to remind me that Link can turn into a drawing. I do that, and then I can solve the puzzle and complete the level. Even I forget he has that ability! I think it will be fun for everyone to see that aspect of the games.
