Music can take you back and forth between worlds without you ever having to leave your room. Proven even more with video game music, the themes of our favorite games help put us in the role of the protagonist, exploring worlds separate from our own. For example, Zelda music helps us to embody Link as he explores the ins and outs of the land of Hyrule.

Musician GLASYS accomplishes such a feeling, but with the power of his synths, through this medley arrangement of well-known Zelda music. He tackles iconic tunes from the series that include the Chest Opening theme, “Fairy’s Fountain”, “Zelda’s Lullaby”, “The Dark World”, Sheik’s Theme, “Lost Woods”, and “Midna’s Lament”.

What’s most interesting is that GLASYS even lists all the instruments he used to create these synth-based arrangements in the description of the video.

For these Zelda synth arrangements, instruments used include:

  • DSI Prophet 6
  • Yamaha Reface CS
  • SE Boomstar 4075
  • Spectrasonics Omnisphere
  • Korg Microkey 2
  • Red Panda Tensor
  • Chase Bliss Thermae
  • His custom Arcadia keyboard (built by Moldover)
  • Enhancia Ring Prototype
  • Polyverse Manipulator.
  • In some of the tracks he controls parameters using an M-Audio Foot Pedal.
