ZI Votes: Who’s Your Ganondorf of Choice?

Welcome back one and all to another one of our Weekly Features: ZI Votes! Every week, I’ll put out a new poll relating to The Legend of Zelda for all of you lovely people to take part in. Think of it like our ongoing Zelda Versus feature, but less suspenseful. Last week I asked you whom you are most looking forward to playing as in Hyrule Warriors, and the results were somewhat surprising, although I imagine they would change in light of this week’s reveals. After nearly 1200 votes, Link came out as the clear winner with 24% percent, followed by Midna and Sheik, who had a close race for second with 16% and 15%, respectively. And, as shocking as it was, Agitha came in dead last at a measly 2%. My condolences to the fans of the Princess of the Insect Kingdom(?)!

This week we’re still reeling from the reveals of the Hyrule Warriors Direct, particularly in regards to the Demon King himself, Ganondorf. For those still unaware, the powerful warlock has received the most dramatic redesign of any Zelda characters, perhaps in an attempt to make him seem more in line with the typical look of the villains in the Dynasty Warriors franchise. While I love the look of him and can’t wait to use his Great Sword to tear enemies a new one, I don’t know if I could simply say that he’s my favorite incarnation of the wielder of the Triforce of Power—so I’ll ask you! Which game’s Ganondorf is your favorite?
