ZeldaMotion project still alive

ZeldaMotionFor the past few years, a project known as ‘ZeldaMotion’ has been floating about the community. ZeldaMotion is a project to turn Akira Himekawa’s A Link to the Past manga into an animated series. The project got the attention of several famous voice actors, such as Todd Haberkorn (Link) and Vic Mignogna (Agahnim). The Kickstarter campaign did not reach enough funding and many thought the project was cancelled; however, we have word from Aeipathy Industries, the creators of the project, that it will be continued.

More information after the jump!

On Aeipathy Industries’ Facebook page, the following was posted:

“This is a bit of a long post, but it has also been a while since you’ve heard from us, so here we go!

One of the questions we get asked the most is this: ‘Is the project alive?’ The answer is YES! As part of our kickstarter, we said we would do it with or without funding. So we are doing it without. But this means it will take us much longer.

Which brings us to another question we get asked a lot: ‘When will you release it?’ Even almost a year later, the answer is: We don’t know. We hope it is soon, but these things take time. The only thing we know at this point is that we _will_ produce it.

The final frequent question we’d like to mention, is: “How can we support ZeldaMotion?” Often, this is in the form of asking about a new kickstarter, people expressing their willingness to donate, or offering to contribute to the project in other ways. We plan to have a system available for donation in the future, but we don’t have one right now.

The best way you can support our project is by spreading the word, and keeping up to date on the project through facebook, youtube, and twitter. We know that many of you have been doing this so far, and as a thank you, we’re going to take our efforts up a notch by working to keep you guys in the loop as to what is happening on the project.

So stick with us, and we’ll be here.”

I have always been interested in this project since the very beginning. A lot of fans have always wanted a Zelda anime and this company will be giving us the prime example. What do you make of this? Would you donate if another campaign was started for the project? Let us know in the comments!
