Majora’s Mask replicas have been trending around Zelda Informer lately. We’ve had not just one, but two Kickstarter campaigns surrounding them. We’ve also had someone show us step by step how they made a highly detailed replica themselves. This time, however, someone created a replica in a rather unique fashion – chainsaws. Of course the fine detailing was done with several other tools, but a large bulk of the work was done through some sawing mastery. It’s actually really impressive watching this mask…

Fans who have kept track of the Zelda Kickstarter campaigns that tend to appear will know well that Majora’s Mask is a very popular source for these projects. Most of the time, they’re primarily focused on creating replicas of the titular mask, and they tend to be funded rather successfully. One fan and mask-making veteran, however, has decided to up the ante, and is currently pursuing a project that the biggest fans of Majora’s Mask shouldn’t risk missing out on…

Zelda fans are a widespread lot; the series has touched so many of us in so many different ways over the years. As a result, when fans decide to create something to express their love for the franchise, they can do so in a plethora of different ways. Some draw truly epic pieces of fanart, others can recreate their favorite tunes into inspiring remixes, and still more routes are available to those in more specialized fields…

Earlier today we announced a free giveaway that’s going on in which you have the chance to win a Hylian Shield of your very own! While this is only a replica and probably won’t stand up against the legions of Ganondorf’s evil forces, it is quite the quality item, and the artist has been generous enough to show us how it’s done via pictures on his Imgur account. Check them out inside!

If you enjoyed Theophany’s Time’s End, or any other number of Zelda remixes, you’re in for a treat if you listen to “Waiting for the Dawn,” a Majora’s Mask EP by Rozen.

Rozen, a student at Berklee College of Music, released “Waiting for the Dawn” in two parts, but both tracks are now available to download for free on his official website. The first of the two songs is a remix of “Oath to Order,” telling the story of the Four Giants as they save Clock Town from a terrible fate. The second, “We Shall Greet the Morning… Together” tells the tale of love between Anju and Kafei as they reunite and decide to spend their final hours in each others’ arms, incorporating many themes from Majora’s Mask as it goes.

If you like Majora’s Mask, you’ll definitely want to head on over and give this EP a listen; it’s well worth your time.

Tobias Lungaard Larsen, dedicated artist in the video game community, has recently finished this beautiful variation of the Majora’s Mask; honestly, it looks incredible.

Tobias (otherwise known as TLL) first made a regular Majora’s Mask replica about a year ago; it took about 8 months to make, and with it he made his big break for fame. Needless to say, this man is incredibly talented, and every one of his creations—among others, a Batarang from Batman and a Grenade Launcher from Team Fortress 2, both here on his blog—are simply amazing.

I forgive you if you are currently drooling over this hand made object located to the left. I completely forgive if you keep throwing money at the screen and nothing is happening. I’ve been in awe of this hand crafted Zelda belt for few days now, wondering if I should share this with the world. You see, this item was actually sold on eBay two years ago. It’s one of a kind and sold for a cool $126.50. How could something this epic be overlooked for two full years? I’ll take the blame for that one. Clearly I should have been browsing deviantArt more often back in those days.

This masterpiece was crafted by Wood-Splitter-Lee, who makes tons of actual statues and sculptures to sell. They all appear fantastic and are of the best quality. Heck, look at this

Pre-Historic Tundra Stag. It’s not only lifesize and simply amazing, but it also sold for a cool $935! That’s just a few hundred more than what First4Figurines charges for work that is 1/6th that size. We need to be paying closer attention to her. Maybe we can convince her to make another Zelda related item? We can only hope! Head inside for a larger image of the Zelda Belt Pack.

For the past few years, a project known as ‘ZeldaMotion’ has been floating about the community. ZeldaMotion is a project to turn Akira Himekawa’s A Link to the Past manga into an animated series. The project got the attention of several famous voice actors, such as Todd Haberkorn (Link) and Vic Mignogna (Agahnim). The Kickstarter campaign did not reach enough funding and many thought the project was cancelled; however, we have word from Aeipathy Industries, the creators of the project,…

There are many games created with inspiration from the Legend of Zelda series. One of the newest titles of such is Skulls of the Shogun. According to the official website, “Skulls of the Shogun is a fast-paced-turn based strategy game where players meet and join forces with vibrant ghost-samurai warriors, magical animal-monks, and mustachioed samurai generals on the way to capture the Skulls of the Shogun.” The founder of 17-BIT, the company that created Skulls of the Shogun for Steam, states…

The Legend of Zelda has been many things, but one thing it hasn’t been is futuristic style wise. That’s where artist Mr. Jones comes in. He has created two specific art pieces that highlight a more futuristic look for two of our favorite characters from the Zelda series. While amazing in their own right, another piece of futuristic styling that takes on a different role altogether has been discovered from a couple years ago just in-case you aren’t all too uppity on Mr. Jone’s work. That being said, fan art is a beautiful thing and if any of you have a spare moment, just check out deviant art and prepare for your jaw to drop. More images inside.
