The Zelda Series Visits Somewhere It’s Never Been to Before with this Russian-Style Piano Medley
Posted on January 24 2018 by Kristen G. Rosario
Familiar melodies can take on a completely new identity when played in different international styles of music, as new forms can add a unique sound to something you may have heard before. I can honestly say I haven’t heard a lot of Zelda covers with an international flavor, but the one we’re looking at today comes to us from Russia… kind of.
This Zelda piano medley comes to us from Sheet Music Boss and covers a few of the series’ iconic tunes in a distinctly Russian style. We’ve heard these songs countless times before, but it’s really fun to hear them in a brand new way. Most of the songs covered are from Ocarina of Time, including the Title Theme, Kokiri Village, Lost Woods, iconic Zelda sound prompts, and more.
Be sure to check out Sheet Music Boss for more video game covers. In fact, the channel has released another Russian piano medley of songs from the Kirby series.
What do you think of this cover? What Zelda tune would you like to hear in a Russian style? Let us know in the comments below!
