Zelda fan and musician Cory Johnson recently finished his Zelda rock album to show his appreciation for the long-running franchise. Cory is covering songs from several major releases and puts his own truly unique spin on each and every song. These renditions are actually so different from the original versions that sometimes it feels like you’re listening to an entirely new song. There aren’t many Zelda covers done in the post rock genre, so this is a rare treat.

To make a good thing even better, most of these tracks are quite lengthy. These covers bear little resemblance in terms of structure to the music they’re based off of. The Majora’s Mask band covers stay truer to the essence of rock, which is a welcome change of pace from the rest of the album. Interested now?
