Zelda Theorist Lists the Five Weirdest Spin-Off Games from the Series
Posted on February 09 2018 by Kristen G. Rosario
Not every game from the Zelda series can be considered memorable for all the right reasons. Some of these titles are more remembered for the strange things they’ve provided to the franchise, instead of their quality. Take these five Zelda games for instance, as they brought something wonderfully intriguing to the series.
The five games chosen for this countdown of the weirdest Zelda spin-offs come to us from Dr. Wily. The theorist takes it upon himself to check out just how bonkers Nintendo got with the series, examining weird classics likeĀ Link’s Crossbow Training, Link: The Faces of Evil, Ancient Stone Tablets, and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.
Wily’s number one goes to the game that was given to one of the most random characters in the series, Tingle. The first game in his spin-off series of portable titles, Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland, is an action-adventure game revolving around using rupees to do pretty much everything. Due to the poor reception Tingle received in the U.S., Tingle’s game never made it to Western shores.
What did you think of this list? Is there any weird Zelda spin-off that should have made this list as well? Let us know in the comments below!
