Ladies and gentleman, the time for petty squabbles is over; from this point forward, it’s an all-out war. Having risen above all challengers over several grueling weeks, the big four of our Best Dungeon tournament are ready to step into the Semi-Finals. Only two will move on to the final round, so let’s stop delaying the inevitable and get our first blistering bout underway.

Note: Despite the website merger, this feature will retain the title “Zelda Informer Versus” until the end of the tournament. Just think of it as a legacy ZI brand!

Stone Tower Temple (Majora’s Mask) Vs. Ancient Cistern (Skyward Sword)

Our first combatant has steamrolled through every opponent it’s come up against. As the only dungeon to earn more than 100 votes in our Majora’s Mask poll, the Stone Tower Temple has continued to build momentum with each new challenger. While every Quarter-Finals winner took in more than 200 votes, the crown jewel of Majora’s Mask was the only one to actually beat another dungeon by over 200 votes. Stone Tower may have its toughest fight ahead, but the success it’s seen thus far puts it in a really strong position.

Several commenters have already predicted Ancient Cistern’s ascent to the tournament Finals. This dungeon’s unique design, layout, and atmosphere have made it instantly memorable, and they clearly helped it to resonate with a large section of the community. We’ve seen the cistern overcome innovation in Round 1 and atmospheric greatness in the Quarter-Finals. Will this dungeon fare quite as well against the forces of nostalgia? Well, if the unflinching fervor of its supporters is any indication, I’d say the Ancient Cistern has some overwhelmingly positive odds.

So, it’s time to decide which is the better dungeon: Stone Tower Temple or Ancient Cistern

Which is the Better Dungeon?

  • Stone Tower Temple (Majora's Mask) (63%, 359 Votes)
  • Ancient Cistern (Skyward Sword) (37%, 209 Votes)

Total Voters: 568
