Zelda Fanart Spotlight – Shadow Link

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on deviantart artist Penril’s Zelda II fanart, “Shadow Link“. In this artwork it shows Link looking around searching for something. The light from the lantern he’s holding expands his shadow and shows that his shadow is coming to life and is attempting to kill him. The shadow possesses menacing red glowing eyes and an evil grin. These two features give the shadow a truly evil look and helps to focus the attention of the viewer towards him.
Link has a real good reason to be afraid of his shadow now if he wasn’t scared of it before.
This artist did a real good job of showing just how scary Shadow Link can be and I’m pretty sure that this was how he looked to Link when the Hero encountered him in the game. Safe to say I’m glad it was Link having to fight him instead of me, because with that look on his face, I would give up and get away from as fast as I could. Sorry Zelda.
