Breath of the Wild to get $20 DLC Expansion Pack Releasing Later this Year

Nintendo just confirmed that Breath of the Wild will have an expansion pack. The pack will release in two segments and you’ll get three bonus chests in The Great Plateau instantly once purchased. The chests contain one shirt that is Switch themed and two “useful” items. You will be able to purchase the DLC pack on March 3rd, though beyond the chests the two releases will not be hitting until Summer and Winter. Here are the details on each release:

 Day 1:

– 3 new Treasure Chests

• Found in the Great Plateau
• Contains useful items
• Includes exclusive in-game clothing

DLC Pack 1 (Summer)

• Adds new Cave of Trials challenge
• New Hard Mode
• Additional map feature

DLC Pack 2

• New original story
• New dungeon
• Additional challenges
