YouTube personality Yuriofwind examines The Wind Waker’s beta

Changes to a game almost unavoidably take place between its first trailer and the date it is released. Game play features, characters and entire areas will often be altered or left on the cutting room floor. The result can be an experience markedly different from what the public was shown when the game was originally unveiled.

Popular YouTuber Yuriofwind frequently examines lost beta content in his Gaming Mysteries video series. His most recent video segment takes a look at The Wind Waker’s pre-release content. In the video below, Yuriofwind examines the evolution of The Wind Waker between its public reveals, starting at the infamous Spaceworld 2000 Zelda tech demo and leading up to the game’s release. From visual and gameplay tweaks to left-out areas, he provides a pretty thorough examination of the game’s many revisions. He also takes the chance to chide the people who dismissed The Wind Waker as “Celda” back when it was first announced.

Before you watch the video, you should know that Yuriofwind often sprinkles light profanities into his commentaries. Even though he doesn’t say anything too outrageous in this one, his lovable sarcastic personality is still in full swing.
