Theory: What if Link had Survived the Original Calamity Ganon Attack?

The split story telling of Breath of the Wild creates a unique balance between mystery and detail, keeping the player intrigued to find out more. Regardless of how well you think the game executed this, there’s no denying the story is complex, taking twists and turns every step of the way, and allows players to form some of their own conclusions.

Taking advantage of this, Youtube theory-crafter NintendoBlackCrisis, along with his viewers, asked the question: “What if Link had survived the original Calamity Ganon attack?” During the video, he takes into consideration multiple factors, including the state of the Divine Beasts, the Rito race, the Master Sword, and the Runes found on the Great Plateau.
