Theory: What Happened to the Dying Soldier from Ocarina of Time?

One of the more disturbing things you can find during your quest in Ocarina of Time is the dying soldier in the back alley of Hyrule Castle Town. In this man’s dying breath, he tells you how he tried to stop Ganondorf and his men but ultimately failed. His sacrifice may appear fruitless at first, but MaskedNintendoBandit feels that there is more to his story than meets the eye.
Based on a theory from SwankyBox, MNB believes that there are a couple of different possibilities when it comes to who the dying soldier from Ocarina of Time was trying to stop. While he doesn’t believe the Gerudo tribe helped Ganondorf try to kidnap Princess Zelda, MNB thinks there are at least two different things that may have happened. The first theory is that Ganondorf got the help of different races who were on his side to help him out. The other theory MNB has is that it was an inside job and Ganondorf got help from Hylian soldiers guarding the castle. He believes that this theory would explain the location where you find the dying soldier.
