The Wind Waker HD is $50

The release of the hotly anticipated The Wind Waker HD is fast approaching. Along with the many benefits it is said to provide over the original, including enhanced gameplay features and improved graphics, it has recently been revealed that it will be in fact be retailed at a different price than the usual $59.99 price tag which many new Wii U games are priced at. In a recently updated Amazon profile, it has transpired that the price of the game will now be $49.99 as opposed to the usual $59.99 recommended retail price of Wii U games. This change in price was perhaps made in order to reflect the fact that the game is simply a remake and not an original; many people would think that paying the full $59.99 for a GameCube game might be a little much, despite the extra features and much-improved graphics of the Wii U version.
This change in price possibly reflects a more honest take on the game’s status as simply an enhanced remake of the 2003 original and nothing more. But what do you think?
