Controls are one of, if not the most important part of a video game’s development. Personally, I think gameplay itself is the highest priority, but without good controls, that all goes out the window. Innovation is great and all, but I think hardware innovation may be Nintendo’s downfall if they go overboard with it. After all, simplicity is a developer’s friend in the way of control schemes.
