The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System is perhaps one of the most famous games of all time. Launching a hugely successful video game series, spawning an 80s cartoon that we all love so much, and famously reminding us that “It’s dangerous to go alone,” The Legend of Zelda is undoubtedly a landmark game.

Last week, we learned that The Legend of Zelda, titled The Hyrule Fantasy: Legend of Zelda in Japan, was coming to the eShop in the East, but we had no idea it would arrive in our homes so quickly. Today, The Legend of Zelda is available on the Wii U Virtual Console, complete with restore points and Off-TV play, for $4.99 (or an even $1.00 if you’re upgrading from the Wii version). Joining other classic titles such as F-Zero, EarthBound, Super Mario World, and Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda is sure to make any Nintendo fan happy.
