The Legend of Zelda, known in Japan as The Hyrule Fantasy: Legend of Zelda, is coming to the Wii U’s Virtual Console in Japan. Released in 1986 as a launch title for the Famicom Disk System, a peripheral to Nintendo’s first home console, The Legend of Zelda made its way worldwide and launched one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. How’s that for a legend?

Coming to the Wii U Virtual Console on August 28th, it’s only a matter of time before the NES version of The Legend of Zelda makes its way to eShops around the world. Are you going to pick up The Legend of Zelda on Wii U, or is its release on the Virtual Console for Nintendo 3DS and Wii enough for you?
