The Legend of Zelda is Coming to Wii U Virtual Console in Japan

The Legend of Zelda, known in Japan as The Hyrule Fantasy: Legend of Zelda, is coming to the Wii U’s Virtual Console in Japan. Released in 1986 as a launch title for the Famicom Disk System, a peripheral to Nintendo’s first home console, The Legend of Zelda made its way worldwide and launched one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. How’s that for a legend?

Coming to the Wii U Virtual Console on August 28th, it’s only a matter of time before the NES version of The Legend of Zelda makes its way to eShops around the world.
