Tears of the Kingdom has easily solidified itself as a top contender for one of the best games of 2023. Arguably, this title improves upon nearly every aspect of its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, and a key improvement has got to be the music as there is a lot more quality in the newest game. That’s not to say that the tunes can’t be livened up a bit more than they already are, however. There’s one musician who manages that feat, creating a metalhead’s musical dream!

The musician I am talking about is FamilyJules, who provides more of an oomph to the Tears of the Kingdom‘s main theme with this metal guitar cover. According to the artist himself, he didn’t do too much to change up the original score in this cover as it already displays an “amazing build up and journey”. The only section he really tweaked was given double length due to the guitar riff being fun to pull off.

FamilyJules has also managed to cover music from six titles in the Zelda series, including Link’s Awakening, Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, and more. Aside from the metal guitar cover featured in this article, he has also tackled over 20 scores from Zelda games. His talents don’t stop there either, as FamilyJules has tackled music from more than 13 different video game series such as Final Fantasy, Mega Man, and Undertale. Regardless, nothing quite screams loving Zelda like tearing it up in the middle of a serene desert.
