Update: The official Japanese webpage for The Champions Ballad also lists December 31 as the DLC’s release date. Many continue to speculate that this is a placeholder date.

It looks like the latest DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could make it in time for the holiday season. Based on a listing on the Nintendo eShop in Europe, The Champion’s Ballad DLC, the second pack from the Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass, will be released during “December 2017.”

In independently confirming the item’s release date, we found that the eShop states the DLC will release “31/12/2017,” or December 31st, 2017. This date could be subject to change in the near future though, as online retailers sometimes use placeholder dates when a specific release date is undefined during a given month. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Last week, a listing for a Japanese Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass download card led to speculation that The Champions’ Ballad could be released on November 23rd. However, Nintendo Japan later offered just “Winter 2017” as the DLC pack’s release window. While this eShop listing could be the most plausible release date yet, we won’t know anything for sure until Nintendo makes an official announcement.

But what do you guys think? Are you excited for the Champion’s Ballad DLC? Let us know in the comments below!
