The highly anticipated hack and slash title has sold exceptionally well since its European release last Friday, charting number four in the GFK Chart-Track. As of today, Hyrule Warriors is currently the second game with the most sales in the UK, just behind Activision’s Destiny. This is a strong start for the first Western release of the game, ranking higher than Disney Infinity 2.0, but failing to surpass the popular title, Destiny. Hit the jump to hear more information!

When a live-action advertisement for A Link Between Worlds was shown, it was a bit stunning. The days of old where video games were marketed with real people seemed to come back, and because it was a hit, the UK is running their own, slightly different version of the ad. Hit the jump to watch!

The Wind Waker HD has only been on the market for a few weeks now, but it has already boosted sales of Nintendo’s ailing Wii U console -in Europe at least. Wii U purchases have increased by a whooping 685 percent across the United Kingdom after the release of the enhanced GameCube remake in Europe on Oct. 4. Learn more after the jump. 

In a recent interview with the UK Official Nintendo Magazine, long-time series producer Eiji Aonuma revealed another small piece of information about the upcoming game A Link Between Worlds. After having recently discussing aspects of the game and also revealing a mysterious screenshot of a shop on Miiverse, Aounuma told ONM that an old element of the Zelda series will be changing slightly in its upcoming role in the 3DS game. Wait, I thought it was Beedle who owned a sailing shop in Phantom Hourglass. And in the UK and North American versions of the Zelda games that feature this young merchant, his name is Beedle. However in the releases in the other parts of Europe and Japan, his name is actually Terry! Of course, at some point this rift in names had to cause a problem. Skyward Sword has been on store shelves for several weeks now and sales numbers for the first few weeks are starting to come in. Unfortunately, it’s not all that great for sales numbers in the United Kingdom. In the week ending December 3rd, Skyward Sword pushed out 18,516 copies in the UK alone, giving it a total of 88,955. More important than those numbers is that Skyward Sword finished in 26th place for top game sales during this week alone….
