Symphony of the Goddesses Tour Heading to the UK

The Symphony of the Goddesses tour has delighted and amazed thousands of fans across America with its imaginative and touching renditions of the Zelda series’ most well-known music. However, it wasn’t until after ten months of touring America which we finally got wind of the tour stopping off at a country other than America; Australian Zelda fans celebrated as it was announced that Sydney would be getting two concert dates at the beginning of February. Despite this, it still begged the question: would we possibly see any other international tour dates before the tour ends? Fortunately, the answer is yes!

As many of you may remember, the Hammersmith Apollo has already been host to the Zelda series’ music previously. In 2011, as part of the 25th Anniversary of the series, London was one of the three cities to receive a series of one-off concerts to celebrate the music of Zelda and to build up excitement for the Symphony of the Goddesses tour. Needless to say, almost everyone who attended unanimously agreed that it was a massive success–a claim which I can support, as hearing the stunning renditions of the Zelda music effectively reduced me to tears by the time the concert had finished.

The concert is going to be held on the 23rd of May and entry will begin at 6:30pm GMT. Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, tickets will go on sale on Monday the 14th of January at 10am GMT and will range from £33.75 to £100, so you may have to start saving up quickly if you want to get a seat before the concert sells out, which it inevitably will do so quickly. I’m delighted that the Symphony of the Goddesses tour is finally coming to the UK. After being swept away by the 25th Anniversary Concert in 2011, I can’t wait to see what musical surprises the producers will have in store for us this time round. Hopefully if there are any British Zelda Dungeon readers out there then I’ll see you all there at the Apollo in May.
