It’s no surprise that Super Smash Bros. series always give good sales numbers to Nintendo, after selling more than 2 million copies on it’s first two days at Japan, Media Create reports that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

The highly anticipated hack and slash title has sold exceptionally well since its European release last Friday, charting number four in the GFK Chart-Track. As of today, Hyrule Warriors is currently the second game with the most sales in the UK, just behind Activision’s Destiny. This is a strong start for the first Western release of the game, ranking higher than Disney Infinity 2.0, but failing to surpass the popular title, Destiny. Hit the jump to hear more information!

Not to be confused with Nintendo’s alternative promotion, the “Super Smashing Sale”, the European eShop is has moved on to its second week of Zelda sales. This week’s sale includes five discounted Zelda games followed by a third week of sales set to include a exclusive discount promoting the release of Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors managed to sell over 69,000 copies in its first week; however as a whole the game only sold slightly over half of its shipment. With this game being a unique hybrid of two popular series, why would the crossover not do as well? Find out more after the jump.

The visual style of Zelda U has been a point of controversy and debate since the Wii U tech demo in 2011. After the tech demo, the demand for a mature and realistic Legend of Zelda game skyrocketed as fans saw the system’s capabilities. Now that we’ve gotten a look at Zelda U in all of its glory, the debate has begun as to the decisions made by Nintendo in the games style and design.

Nintendo has just released its quarterly financial report for the third portion of the 2013-2014 fiscal year and while the results were considerably poor for Wii U, 3DS continued to improve in winning over consumers. An interesting part of the report shows some exciting sales figures for the two awesome Zelda titles which released on Wii U and 3DS in 2013 providing their respective systems with some much needed sales momentum. A Link Between Worlds has already been a big success in North America and Europe, and now its set to make its mark across the Pacific. The 3DS Zelda game set in the same overworld as A Link to the Past has topped sales data for its first week out in Japan after releasing there belatedly on December 26, 2013. More after the jump.

While the majority of the world has been playing Link’s latest handheld adventure, A Link Between Worlds, since late November, Japanese gamers have been desperately waiting to delve into the grand sequel to the SNES classic. Not released until December 26th, Japan went crazy for Zelda on launch week for the 3DS title with an outstanding amount of units sold and placing it firmly at number one on the video game charts. If there is any proof that the Zelda series’s popularity remains strong , this is it. Online retailer Amazon has released its 2013 list of top 100 adult print books sold during the year, and the Zelda art book Hyrule Historia has made  it into the top ten. More after the jump.

The Wind Waker HD has only been on the market for a few weeks now, but it has already boosted sales of Nintendo’s ailing Wii U console -in Europe at least. Wii U purchases have increased by a whooping 685 percent across the United Kingdom after the release of the enhanced GameCube remake in Europe on Oct. 4. Learn more after the jump.
