Nintendo released two brand new pieces of Breath of the Wild official art on facebook today that hail directly from the development team. Both of them depict Link with slightly different gear equipped. The one on the left looks more like the one we have seen so far in the game, while the one on the right appears to be a slightly altered variant that probably got scratched…

One of the biggest linchpins in the gameplay of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is the three-day mechanic. Players only have 72 in-game hours to complete their objectives before they must reset time or watch the world end. The impending horror of the situation is reflected by the game’s world, characters, and even music. On the third and final day, the usually slow and jovial music of Clock Town turns fast and anxious. The music embeds in the player the sense that they need to hurry, before everything is destroyed.

Do you have a Zelda fan in the family, or are you looking to add something to your own Zelda collection during this holiday season? Look no further than Etsy shop Winterwish and their beautiful glass rupee replicas. Each order comes with seven rupees, all of which are the different colors from the Zelda series, and you could even add a “wallet” pouch to keep them safe. The prices vary depending on whether you want to include the wallet, and which size wallet you would like…

As a lover of cute things, I went crazy when I first saw the Koroks in The Wind Waker. They have to be one of the cutest creatures that have ever graced the Zelda series, especially when they walk and you hear a tiny bell jingling away. If you have ever wanted a Korok, you know have your chance. This Etsy store, Kulukan, has made the entire Koroks into adorable plushies. These Korok plushies are beautifully detailed, and even come with a bell inside all of these creatures…

Australia, get ready, because Nintendo is bringing the Switch to RTX Sydney from February 4th to 5th! The two day gaming and culture event hosted by Rooster Teeth will be one of the very first times that fans will be able to get some hands on experience with the Switch.

The official Twitter account for RTX Sydney tweeted out the news yesterday, confirming that the Switch would be on the show floor itself…

Skyward Sword is a bit a divisive game, especially among the Zelda faithful. However, it also stands today as the only 3D Zelda game to not get some form of a remastered version. Of course, Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask have yet to have official HD remasters, but they did get overhauled on the 3DS. Skyward Sword still only exists in a singular form – a disc for the Nintendo Wii (there is technically a Wii U VC version now too, but it’s the same game). Thanks to PC’s and emulators, we have an ability to see what Skyward Sword could look like…

3D printing has opened up doors to create great fan art in a shorter amount of time that would have taken so much effort to craft. We’ve seen paper dioramas of Zelda maps, but this project takes it a step further by 3D printing The Legend of Zelda‘s map. Hopefully this iconic overworld is very familiar to you, as it comes from Link’s debut on the NES. There’s so much detail put into this—you can see all the paths and even the elevation levels of certain areas. It’s definitely better than a standard 2D map…

You know that feeling you get when you walk into Ocarina of Time‘s Castle Town pot room? You know you shouldn’t be destroying all of the helpless pots there, but you just can’t help yourself. Well, get ready to be tempted now in glorious, modern graphics, thanks to this beautiful recreation of the pot room in Unreal Engine 4.

The video starts off by showing an adult Link walking around, surveying his beautiful surroundings. After slyly checking to see…

In celebration of Zelda’s 30th anniversary, a special concert album is being released in Japan on February 15, 2017. The album has two versions that will be available for purchase—a limited first-print edition, and a standard version. The limited first edition includes the concert album, a CD stand, a DVD of the concert, and two collectible badges. The standard version includes just the album…

It is really surprising that we are a little over two weeks until the start of the new year. At the start of 2016 we knew next-to-nothing about Breath of the Wild and the Nintendo Switch. Now we know enough about them both to keep us hyped going into 2017. As we anxiously wait the arrival of the next year, Nintendo reminds us how the Zelda series has always made the holidays feel special…
