Since it was revealed at this year’s E3, the new Zelda title for the Wii U has many fans excited and wondering what it will be like. Recently, Mases of Zelda Dungeon and GenGAME sat down with Eiji Aonuma where he stated that a previous Zelda game’s success does not change the direction he wants to take for new entries in the series. If you’ve been reading Zelda Dungeon for the past few days, you’ll know that Alex at GenGAME has been playing through Darksiders II, which Mases has labeled as “the best Zelda game since Majora’s Mask.” And now that Alex has finished his play through, he seems to agree with that sentiment. The people here at the Zelda Marathon had way too much fun, I think. There have been prizes and events with each donation to Child’s Play with set goals that the team put together. We made thousands of dollars in donations for Child’s Play. Great job to everyone who donated, children will now have toys of entertainment in their hospital rooms because of you. The first day of the Zelda Marathon has passed and our host, Mases, has already created a new meme based off of the song “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. Every time Mases beat a boss in Phantom Hourglass, the first game of the marathon, he showcased his Link bobble-head and someone happened to snap a picture off that, adding the words that Mases had sung to his little cover of the song. Zelda Dungeon Goes Gaga

In a preposterous juxtaposition, Youtube user dogandponyshowyoutub has put some midi-fied Lady Gaga tracks over some classic Zelda gameplay. While I can appriciate some of Lady Gaga’s artistry and music, even the 8-bit version in the video, I certainly don’t think we’ll ever hear such songs in the Zelda franchise.
