YouTube Channel Nintendo Viewer provides daily video content focused solely on Nintendo related topics. Some consist of gameplay videos, while others focus on the soundtracks of those games, and there are also a handful of product unboxing videos as well. The next wave of amiibo has already released in Europe and today Nintendo Viewer gives us an up close and personal look at the evil one himself. The video also includes footage of the Zero Suit Samus amiibo, so head…

The next wave of amiibo have already landed in the wild in some countries, and many lucky new owners are taking to social media to share their love, and cause possible envy as well. For those of us that are unlucky enough to live where amiibo are either extremely scarce or where this next wave hasn’t arrived yet, all we can do is sit and stare at the pictures our fellow amiibo hunters have been kind enough to share. To…

Update: Different up-close pictures have been added in the gallery.

From the beginning, it has been apparent that every character in the Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS roster would be made into an amiibo. That obviously meant every Zelda character in the roster would receive an amiibo, and every one has- except for the Demon King Ganondorf.

The Ganondorf amiibo was officially announced during the April 1st Nintendo Direct…

Yoshi’s latest adventure, Yoshi’s Wooly World will be releasing this year, and we have just learned that in the title we will see an appearance of some character costumes from The Legend of Zelda franchise. Nintendo of Europe has just released a video that shows off the ability to use amiibo to unlock different costumes for the little Yarn Yoshi in the game. There will be a total of 40 amiibo able to be used and several Zelda amiibo are…

Nintendo officially announced the release dates for several amiibo in Europe via their Twitter this morning. It is worth noting that the Europe and North America release dates are vastly different and does not denote release dates, or even release order, of these amiibo in North America. Ganondorf, Dark Pit, Palutena, and Zero Suit Samus release on June, 26 while Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr., and Capt. Olimar release on July, 17. So for those of our fans in Europe, make sure you get ready to pick them up at release…

Zelda, Link and Ganondorf are unarguably the most iconic characters in the Zelda franchise. In order to keep the Zelda formula, you need a hero, a princess and a villian. Nintendo have strayed away from this formula a few times and nobody complained. It may seem a bit odd to not include Zelda in a Zelda game but they always have the hero, Link. Honestly, when you hear someone mention any Zelda game, you will most likely imagine a guy…

All the amiibo hunters in Europe you better get ready! Nintendo has officially announced the release dates for the upcoming wave of amiibo. For us here at Zelda Dungeon we stay true to our name, and our primary focus is on the upcoming Ganondorf amiibo! Ganondorf will launch alongside three other amiibo in Europe on June 26. Sadly for those of us in the U.S., we have to wait until September to be able to get our greedy little hands…

Nintendo of America has issued a statement through their Official Facebook page about the amiibo shortages and their plans to handle upcoming releases, as well as a few of the amiibo that are already out of stock (or sitting in scalper’s homes, in my opinion). For those of you like myself that have spent countless hours hunting them down, pre-ordering, and even contacting customer service when in the middle of your pre-order transaction the website said, oops out of stock,…

The recent Super Smash Bros. patch, updating the game to version 1.0.7, has made many minor tweaks to characters’ movesets. Over at the Smash Boards forums, the exact changes from after the patch have been listed. Aside from the Mewtwo bug fixes that many players were crying out for, several characters are seeing changes to the damage percentages, knockback effects and more. Zelda-based fighters are no different, so hit the jump for all the changes to Link, Zelda, Sheik, Toon…

This September, we will finally be seeing the release of the final Zelda character Amiibo from Super Smash Bros.: Ganondorf. While the pretty little figures are great fun to collect, it is nice to have some actual use for them, especially beyond just Smash. Gamespot has detailed the games Ganondorf, and all other Amiibos in fact, work with, and what they do in those games. Check out what Ganondorf’s figure can do after the jump!
