Reputable singer and video game fan Jillian Aversa has recently posted a video on YouTube of her vocal cover of Zelda’s Lullaby and Skyward Sword‘s Ballad of the Goddess. Not only does she give a great vocal performance, but the video itself is very pleasing to see. Check out the video after the jump!

With Halloween being only a week away it won’t be long before pumpkins are being carved, costumes are being created and houses get decorated (if they haven’t been already). Until All Hallows’ Eve arrives you’ll need to keep yourself entertained so why not play some 3DS games? There are plenty to choose from but if only there was something to make the HOME screen a little more interesting. Well, you might be in luck as a Skyward Sword themed HOME…

YouTube user Sp0ntanius has recently released another Zelda cover video, this time of Ballad of the Goddess from Skyward Sword. Sp0ntanius is known for covering Zelda songs through some strange mean. From Saria’s Song of beer bottles all with sped up footage to the original Game Over theme with scissors, using stop motion the has produced many eccentric covers. His newest piece, done with rubber bands, lives up to his previous videos. So hit the jump to check it out!

As most of you know, among all the other songs that get played in the Milk Bar in A Link Between Worlds, some of them are tracks that return from previous games. With Skyward Sword‘s beautiful soundtrack, it’s hardly surprising that a song from the second-most recent Zelda game made it into the mix, as well. Hit the jump to find out which one!

We know that many of you have already heard this gorgeous piece of music by now, but we’ve been swamped with many other news posts (including the wonderful news of the two Zelda releases for Wii U!). But just in case you somehow have not already heard this lovely piece of music, we just had to share it with you. The composer for the music in Plants vs. Zombies, Laura Shigihara, explains that originally she was just planning on doing…

Good afternoon my Zelda friends, and welcome to another Flute Boy’s Meadow! As I said last week, from now on this music feature is going to be looking at original compositions from Zelda games, breaking them down a bit and basically just looking at them in a way that we usually don’t bother to. Last week I went old-school with the classic Dark World theme from A Link to the Past, so for this week’s feature I thought I’d move…

[news post contributed by Troubadour] Skyward Sword marked the first Zelda title with an orchestrated soundtrack, but many fans felt it also was a departure from the trend of having simple and catchy tunes as in the previous games. One memorable song, however, is the “Ballad of the Goddess”, Skyward Sword’s main theme. YouTuber and violist XclassicalcatX has done several covers of video game music, and now she’s released a cover of the “Ballad of the Goddess.” Make the jump…

These two beautiful young ladies are known as the Harp Twins. If that name doesn’t say it all, these two are identical twins who play the harp. On top of that, the two are also actresses and have appeared in several films. Their most recent video is an electric duet harp arrangement of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Main Theme (Ballad of the Goddess)! The version is just absolutely amazing and you just have to listen to it if…

YouTuber ridia84 is a musician and a pretty hardcore Zelda fan. In the image you see to the left, you can see her playing a piano cover of the classic Legend of Zelda overworld theme, while in a Link costume. I’m not sure what the best part about this particular cover is. The actual song, the costume, navi that is flying around, or the out of place smile she gives to the camera at the 15-second mark. Either way, it’s…

One of my favorite things to randomly search for on YouTube is 8-bit remixes of some of my favorite songs or favorite game themes from modern games. I’m not sure what really draws me to it, but I presume that nostalgia is a big part of it. There are some themes from the NES era that will forever be ingrained in my mind, and they are some of the best pieces of game music I’ve ever heard of. Sure Skyward…
