The latest title in the Zelda franchise, Tri Force Heroes lands in the  #1 spot for this week’s 3DS eShop charts. Nintendo of America has announced that a free demo for Tri Force Heroes will be made available for free on the 3DS eShop, starting today! The demo will be available starting at 9am PST and will allow you to play via local play anytime, since it is a demo the single player and Download Play aspects of the game will not be available. In a somewhat unexpected move, Nintendo has put up a demo of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS in the Japanese eShop. What makes this particularly noteworthy is that only 5 characters are playable, with Link being one of them! With the new attention Nintendo has finally put on downloadable content, their eShops for the 3DS and Wii U have tapped a whole new market that was being only halfheartedly satisfied before. Thankfully, this advent has given us the ability to download older Zelda games without having to buy the normally adjoining consoles, and recently, these retro downloadables have charted on the 3DS quite well.
