kokiri-forest-2Here is an oddity among Zelda theories. Most of the time, when people theorize about what might happen if Link’s individual circumstances in each game were different, they look at how concerning, or even how grim, the outcome might be. Though, YouTuber SwankyBox has a different idea. He has examined what may have happened if Link had never left Kokiri Forest at the start of Ocarina of Time, but thinks less about the serious implications, and a bit more about the comical side of what would happen.

This is interesting. I never really thought about how Ganondorf really did rely on tricking Link into unlocking the Sacred Realm. If Link just ignored the whole adventure, Ganondorf very well could have never ended up obtaining the Triforce. If Link was only a lazy kind of guy, or if we finally had the chance to see Navi splatter all over that fence at the very start of the game, all that trouble could have been avoided.

Though, Majora’s Mask would still have happened. Termina’s Moon would still fall, as Skull Kid would still have stolen the mask from the Happy Mask Salesman and created the Moon. Although, Link never would have taught the Skull Kid Saria’s Song. That doesn’t seem to have much of an effect on Majora’s Mask‘s circumstances, but perhaps it is more influential than we think. An interesting thing to think about nonetheless.

What do you guys think? What of world-changing (or laughable) outcomes would have come about if Link never got out of bed that day? Drop a comment!
