Super Smash Bros Reveal

Zelda Informer is happy to announce that we are now going to be covering all Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U news up until the release. Trust me, we are as excited to bring this news to you as you hopefully are reading it. That being said, let’s kick things off with a special announcement from the official website.

Nintendo Japan and Nintendo of America are set to announce a new character for the Smash Bros. duo on Monday and will stream the event live at 7:00 AM PDT. Of course, we will be here to give you the latest on the event as it develops.

Additionally, Masahiro Sakurai confirmed the details of the announcement in a Miiverse post early today:

Oh, by the way! I’d like to reveal a new challenger. Instead of doing the unveiling on something like a Nintendo Direct, we’re going to live-stream the reveal on the official website on Monday, July 14, at 7:00 AM US Pacific Time (4:00 PM European Central Time). Looks like we’re nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that we’ve made… Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you’ll enjoy watching it live.

With the character being announced live, we can hope that it will be a major character announcement. But, Nintendo has been known to make a big case out of something small in recent events. No offense, Nintendo, but Cranky Kong was not worth all that hype.
