Gaming convention PAX East 2024 is set to take place next month in Boston, MA, promising an exciting weekend of panels, demos, performances, tournaments, and more. And while the event won’t be sharing convention center space with a Nintendo Live event like its West Coast counterpart, Nintendo fans attending PAX East will still have plenty to look forward to.

In particular, Zelda fans heading to PAX East next month will want to check out the panel “Nintendo Gone Mad – The Zelda Games We’re Trying to Forget,” which is scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd at 7 PM ET. The presentation will focus on, of all things, the three Zelda titles developed for the Phillips CD-i system: Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda’s Adventure.

The panel will be hosted by Limited Run Games’ Jared Petty and will feature a team of game historians, such as IGN’s Seth Macy and industry freelancer Nadia Oxford. The panel will also feature guest Seth Fulkerson of Seedy Eye Software, developer of the recently released Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, a “spiritual successor” to those infamous Zelda CD-i titles. “Nintendo Gone Mad – The Zelda Games We’re Trying to Forget” will take place Saturday, March 23rd at 7 PM ET at the Dragonfly Theatre in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. You can find more information about the panel right here. You can find the full PAX East schedule right here.
