Last month saw some disheartening pre-order numbers for Skyward Sword. While games like Modern Warfare 3 and Skyrim rolled in hundreds of thousands of pre-orders weekly, our dear Zelda was left scooping up advances of 40,000 or 60,000. However, there’s been a nice turnaround this month.

Despite its low pre-order numbers the past few months, Skyward Sword has been picking up speed throughout November, and now it’s really starting to show. Over at BestBuy.com, the Skyward Sword Limited Edition Bundle has been ranked as the number one best selling pre-order this week, topping titans like Star Wars: The Old Republic and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Not bad for a Wii game, no? Some may even want to crack it up to the impending release date, but don’t forget that Assassin’s Creed is releasing before Skyward Sword and its sales are behind the game’s Limited Edition alone. That doesn’t even include the regular version of the game!

So how’s this sound to you guys? What do you think is responsible for the sudden upturn in pre-order numbers? I think this can be attributed to the increase in advertising for the game as well as the flood of overwhelmingly positive reviews coming in. Be sure to give us your thoughts in the comments!
