Rumor: North American to Get Different Smash Bros 3DS XL

A couple weeks ago, we happily reported that there will, in fact, be a Smash Bros. special edition 3DS XL releasing in Europe to commemorate the release of the highly anticipated brawler. While many were rather excited at the concept, those outside of the continent were feeling rather dejected about the lack of a similar announcement in other territories. Additionally, more than a few of our fans here at ZI were rather unsatisfied with the design chosen for the 3DS itself. Both of these problems, however, may very well be amended if a recent rumor comes to fruition.

A Twitter user who goes by the username “werejack” said that Nintendo has something planned for the North American market too, although it could very well be differently designed that the one we already know about. While rumors with so few details such as this one are easy to fabricate, this user has a history of accurate predictions for bundles, including the Wind Waker Wii U bundle. It’s nowhere near a certain confirmation, but it certainly makes this rumor worth your consideration.
