Ride the Wind With This Accordion Cover of “Skyloft Theme”

With this past summer’s release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, many are experiencing the game’s fantastic original sound track for the first time. The OST was featured heavily in the 25th anniversary celebration, as the Symphony of the Goddess orchestra toured internationally. Among the many memorable songs featured from the game, “Skyloft Theme” remains one of the most iconic.
YouTube content creator and musician Jackson Parodi recently covered “Skyloft Theme” on the accordion, which can be viewed here. The performance is light-hearted and fun; fans of the Zelda franchise will certainly be forgiven if they feel transported to a stable in Hyrule and swear they see a giant macaw. Parodi covers a range of video game content, with performances of the “Wii Shop Channel Theme,” songs from Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 8, and more.
Tell us what you think! Did you enjoy this cover of “Skyloft Theme”? What other songs would you like Jackson Parodi to cover on the accordion? Share your reactions in the comments below.
