“For those of us like myself who’ve seen the game and seen how it’s progressing – no fears! It’s going to be wonderful!” – Reggie Fils-Amie, on Zelda Wii U

According to Miyamoto, there was footage ready to show at E3, but Reggie claims that Nintendo’s primary focus at E3 is to showcase titles that are releasing soon, meaning in the next 6-9 month, approximately. They did not want to get fans hugely excited just yet, as the delay to 2016 has only just been announced, and they did not want to “pour salt on the wound, so to speak”. Reggie says that the line-up was quite strong, and therefor they had more than enough content already.
