Play Breath of the Wild in Arabic with this New Mod
Posted on October 12 2021 by John Piland
Arabic-speaking players may lack official support to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in their language, but thanks to a new mod, that may no longer be a problem.
Thanks to a team of dedicated translators and modders calling themselves Eternal Dream Arabization, there is now a complete Arabic translation of all the text in the game, including the logo itself. Additionally, as Arabic runs from right to left, the team had to reverse the flow of the text from its standard left to right.
The mod is compatible with the Wii U, Wii U emulators, and jailbroken Nintendo Switch systems. If emulating the game, the developers recommend using the Wii U version on an emulator such as Cemu. The developers of the mod do ask that players support the game’s official release, however.
Directions on how to install the mod are available on the mod’s main site, as well as trailers for other games the team has created translation mods for.
Could you or someone you know benefit from Arabic as a language option for Breath of the Wild? Are there any other languages you’d like the game to offer? Let us know in the comments below!
