Photoshop Contest: Zelda Escape Room

Hello, all my ZI companions. It’s time again to join us for our weekly Photoshop Contest. Nintendo made a rather cool announcement earlier this week, revealing a partnership with SCRAP Entertainment for an escape room attraction themed around

The Legend of Zelda. “Defenders of the Triforce” will let fans realize their dreams and become heroes of Hyrule, promising a true sense of immersion and challenge. We’re not sure what form the final room will take, but this week’s contest will let you speculate. Share your ideas here, and don’t forget to also check out the winners of last week’s contest: 80’s Zelda Advertisements.

Last Week’s Contest:

Our winning entry from last week comes from artist

Link584. This awesome submission not only offered a retro-fied Breath of the Wild ad, but also accepted last week’s Challenge Mode by including a celebrity endorsement and some 80’s Zelda merchandise. International Football superstar Pelé offers his full support for this open-world Zelda game, despite it losing some of its graphical fidelity while played on the Atari. Visual problems matter not; I completely trust Pelé’s judgment. Great job!

This Week’s Contest: Zelda Escape Room

Nintendo and SCRAP Entertainment dropped some whopper news on us earlier this week, announcing a Zelda escape room for multiple cities around the country. Promising a truly immersive experience, “Defenders of the Triforce” will let fans step into the world of Hyrule and become legendary heroes. Escape room participants will “solve puzzles,” “find items,” and hopefully “save the world.”

The contest this week is to predict what “Defenders of the Triforce” will look like. The escape will definitely have puzzles and items, and perhaps even some traps and treasures. For your entries, you may add some Zelda charm to the escape room images we have in the gallery below, or construct something completely new with what you find on the internet. Your imagine is all you really need!

General Rules: Submit your entries in the comments section below.

  • To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Go up to the address bar and delete __small from the URL. Hit enter, right click, and save!
  • Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
  • Some hand-drawn fan art is okay, but your entry must include some image manipulation to be considered.
  • If you use another fan’s original assets or likeness, please try to give them credit.
  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than Thursday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on November 24. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!

Challenge Mode

For those that who want to test their skills with something more challenging, we have a Challenge Rule for you to follow:

1. Your entry must present a boss battle for the escape room.

Good luck!
