It’s that time again! A new Friday means a new Zelda Informer Photoshop Contest. This week, we’re focusing on the Zelda series’ beloved Postman character and exploring the life he led after Majora’s Mask concluded. Don’t get ahead of yourself, though. We first need to take a look at the winners from last week’s contest: Zelda Theme Park Attraction.

Last Week’s Contest:

We were all surprised by Nintendo’s new partnership with Universal Theme Parks. To celebrate the possibilities this partnership may bring, we asked you all to create your dream Legend of Zelda amusement park attraction. There were many different avenues discussed in the comments and many great entries submitted. I’m all the more excited to see a Zelda theme park after seeing all the entries.

Challenge Mode

Last week’s Challenge Mode involved some input by the ZI community. In addition to a Universal character, the entry needed to incorporate the ideas of user Rodolink, who suggested “a place with thousands of pots to break with fake swords!” Meeting both of these criteria was Mr. James “Jei” Evans, who presented a Zelda ride in which laughably excited families swipe at hundreds of pots while riding an Epona-led chariot. And who’s the guide? A Minion from Despicable Me of course! Good job, Jei. Now get back to work on next week’s Caption Contest!

This Week’s Contest: The Postman’s New Life

If players took the time to acquire the Postman’s Hat in Majora’s Mask, they were lucky enough to see the Postman flee happily from Clock Town. Freed from the obligations that bound this poor worker so, the Postman skipped into the great unknown. “I am now free! I can set my own schedule!” he shouted. We were left to imagine the beautiful new life this man led after Termina was ultimately restored.

Your assignment this week is to show us what amazing things the Postman did after Majora’s Mask. What sights did he see? What people did he meet? What greatness did he achieve? It’s all up to you and your image manipulation software. Just make sure the poor guy up there is happy. You’re free to make use of our image gallery below and whatever else lies in store for you on the internet.

General Rules:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
  • Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than next Wednesday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on May 27. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

Challenge Mode

For those that who want to test their skills with something more challenging, we have a few Challenge Rules for you to follow:

1. Your entry must show the Postman on the peak of a mountain.

2. Your entry must show the Postman wearing Nike tennis shoes.

If you think you’re up to the challenge, include the phrase Challenge Accepted with your submission. Remember, Challenge Mode submissions follow the same rules and guidelines of the base Photoshop Contest in addition to the Challenge Rules.

Good luck!
