Photoshop Contest: Free Week #4

Good day, friends! We’re back again for another exciting entry in Zelda Informer’s weekly Photoshop Contest. Whatever your ‘shopping skills, we invite you inside to create some fun and goofy Zelda artworks. This week is yet another Free Week, in which we’ll be liberating ourselves from any particular theme and granting the power to ‘shop almost anything imagination allows. Amongst rumors of Tingle receiving his very own amiibo, contestants were asked to steal the character’s magic words and reimagine his trademark dance.

Challenge Mode

Last week’s challenge was to put a cinematic twist on the Kooloo-Limpah by having a famous Hollywood actor play the role of Tingle. Of course, no Hollywood masterpiece would be complete without a massive dragon as well. While other entries also took up the challenge, Toby Magtingle‘s entire Disqus account seems to be part of this artist’s entry. The ‘shop features Tingle played by Spider-Man 3 star Toby Maguire, as the mischievous fairy-to-be rides the back of Volvagia from Ocarina of Time. This submission is certainly worthy of Tingle’s outrageous spirit; great job!

This Week’s Contest: Free Week #4

At the end of every month, the Photoshop Contest steers away from any certain themes in favor of a more unrestricted approach. We won’t be making any references to canceled Zelda animes or to certain rap movies. Rather we’ll be accepting any and all submissions, so long as they follow the very loose guideline below.

Free Week Rules: I will provide just a few images in the gallery below. As long as at least one of these images is used in your entry in some way, you are free to produce any image you like.

General Rules:

• Submit your entries in the comments section below.
• To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Go up to the address bar and delete __small from the URL. Hit enter, right click, and save!
• Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
• Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
• Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
• Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than next Wednesday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on September 2. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

Challenge Mode

For those that who want to test their skills with something more challenging, we have a few Challenge Rules for you to follow:

1. Your entry must include a Poe from the Zelda series.

2. Your entry must show Link set on fire.

If you think you’re up to the challenge, include the phrase Challenge Accepted with your submission. Remember, Challenge Mode submissions follow the same rules and guidelines of the base Photoshop Contest in addition to the Challenge Rules.
