One Week Remaining for Super Dungeon Designer Kickstarter Campaign

For years, Zelda fans have clamored for a dungeon maker game akin to Super Mario Maker. Nintendo experimented with a Zelda dungeon designer in the mini-game challenge in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (2019); unfortunately, the lack of customization and user control led most to feel disappointed.
Now, thanks to game developer James Richards at Squish Studios, Zelda fans have another shot to build their own dungeons and challenge their friends. Super Dungeon Designer is entering the last week of its Kickstarter campaign and still needs some help to get across the finish line. As of the time of this article, the game sits at 58% funded, $7,801 of its $15,000 (USD) goal.
Richards describes Super Dungeon Designer, explaining, “You can build your dungeons however you want. Fill them with traps and treasures, challenging enemy encounters, or tricky puzzles! Upload your dungeons online and download the creations of other dungeon designers! Inspired by games like Mario Maker and Legend of Zelda, Super Dungeon Designer gives you the tools to create the action-adventure dungeons you’ve always dreamed of!”

- Add and resize rooms
- 35+ Tiles / Objects / Enemies / Items to use
- Linking System to trigger events
- 4-player local co-op
- Boss battles
- Dungeon sets / world map
- Multiple themes
- Online play: upload / download
If successful, Super Dungeon Designer will be the third title released by Squish Studios. The indie studio, based out of Bellevue, Washington, launched in 2014 with a focus on family friendly games that are unique. Memory Match and Catch! and Dragon Drop are the first two titles from Squish Studios.
