Ocarina Of Time Commands Top Spot In Wii U eShop For July

It has now been four weeks in a row, the entire month of July, that Ocarina of Time has dominated the #1 spot in the Wii U eShop charts. Each week the titles landing in the top 20 have shifted around, but one thing has remained true, ever since the release of the original The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Wii U eShop it has held the #1 spot! By doing so the much loved Zelda game has continued to beat out Nintendo’s latest title Splatoon, which has seen a constant hold on the top spot almost since its release in May – with exception to a one week hiatus when it was beat out by Earthbound Beginnings. We speculated last week if the game could continue on this dominating trend, and it seems it can! Many of you shared your excitement to see Ocarina of Time continue hold the top spot, but some weren’t so sure as to why being the fact the title has seen a remake for the 3DS in 2011. Although I do prefer to play it on my 3DS, you can’t go wrong with a classic and even though I still own the original for the N64 as well, I still found myself shelling out more rupees!
