Nintendo is seeking recruits for work on the next project in the Legend of Zelda series, as shown by two open positions recently listed on Nintendo’s Japanese recruitment website. The company is looking to hire a 3DCG Designer as well as a Level Designer, with both positions based in Nintendo’s headquarters in Kyoto, Japan.

The 3DCG Designer position specifies work on in-game terrain and dungeons. Applicants are required to have experience with Maya, background production, Photoshop, software development, and environments in the HD generation. Nintendo also welcomes candidates who are “interested and motivated to produce terrain in the Legend of Zelda series.” The Level Designer position specifies work on game events, dungeons, and enemies. Applicants are required to have experience as a game planner for consumer video games.

At this time, we are unclear if these positions relate to a new Zelda title on the Switch, on the 3DS / 2DS, or on mobile. However, considering the need for experience on HD platforms, we have our fingers crossed for something on home consoles. We will be sure to report any updates as they become available.

If you think you are a viable candidate for either of these positions, you can apply right here.
