Nintendo Currently Offering Double My Nintendo Gold Points for Select Digital Purchases

With the holidays in full swing, Nintendo is starting their deals a little early! Select digital purchases will reward buyers with double My Nintendo Gold Points! The offer ends January 5th, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT.

Some notable games listed are Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Honestly, the selection is very lackluster, only including three other titles to pick from (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Miitopia). Maybe one of these titles is something somebody really wants though, and right now could be the time to buy it just to get some kind of deal.

All of these games cost $59.99 USD, with the exception of Miitopia, which is $49.99 USD. Usually this amount would reward buyers with around 300 Gold Points, or $3 USD, meaning this deal will rack up about 600 Gold Points ($6 USD). This is a bit of a let down considering the typical 15%-30% mark down of digital purchases for the holidays is a much better deal, and offers a wider selection of games.

That said, if you really need Animal Crossing for Christmas, but it’s sold out physically, or you just don’t want to “beat an old lady with a stick” to get it, like Peter Parker once said, then this deal could be your ticket.
