While we patiently await to see what Universal Orlando’s Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe will be like, it appears Nintendo isn’t slowing down on their expansion into the Western market. In a recent news post from earlier today, the Big N announced that they will be opening yet another official store in the United States. Though details are sparse, Nintendo of America does confirm that 2025 will see the unveiling of their second US store which will be located in Union Square, San Francisco.
You can read their official statement below:
Nintendo of America today announced plans to open an official store in San Francisco’s iconic Union Square, providing a way for a wide range of visitors from near and far to experience the world of Nintendo, its products, and characters.
The store, called Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, will open in 2025 as the second official location in the US, joining the store in New York City.
Please stay tuned for more information as the new store opening approaches.
There are currently four Nintendo stores overall, with three located in Japan and one located in New York City. This now makes two upcoming Nintendo projects arriving to the United States sometime next year, with the other being a Super Nintendo World section of Universal Orlando’s upcoming theme park, Epic Universe. With consideration to an announcement about the Switch successor coming within this Japanese fiscal year, the Big N looks to be building a grand showcase for what they have coming down the green pipeline.
What do you think about the announcement of the Nintendo San Francisco store? Will you be checking out the place once it opens next year? Let us know in the comments below!
