New The Wind Waker HD character art

With the release of The Wind Waker HD looming on the horizon, Nintendo continues to sate our appetite for high seas Zelda adventure with previews of the game’s content. Projekt Zelda Europe, a German fan site dedicated to the Zelda series, has updated its artwork collection for the remake with concept art recently published by Nintendo. This extensive collection includes 23 full-size pictures of the game’s major characters.

Included in the artwork collection are superstars like Link, Tetra and Ganondorf, along with important, but less illustrious characters like Aryll, Makar, Medli and Quill. Even The Wind Waker‘s friendly seagulls are given  their own place in the gallery. The soft glossy colors of the art mimics the characters’ in-game appearances, giving them a stylish look faithful to the game’s lovely cel-shaded graphics. Each picture’s resolution is sized at a whopping 3000 x 3000 pixels, making them perfect wallpaper for any ardent Zelda fan’s PC. I personally have already replaced my old background with an HD shot of Fado, the lively Kokiri Wind Sage Link meets on his quest to restore power to the Master Sword.
