The recent release of Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch has given veteran fans the chance to revisit the game’s stellar soundtrack and given new fans the chance to hear it for the first time. Excitingly, songs like “Mabe Village”, “Tal Tal Heights”, and “Ballad of the Wind Fish” are once again fresh in the minds of the fanbase. As a way to celebrate the release of Link’s Awakening, respected game music collective OverClocked ReMix has released a new community arrangement album titled Songs of the Sirens.
This collection features 14 tracks spanning the entire Link’s Awakening soundtrack, with a crack team of arrangers translating the game’s iconic tunes into a diverse assortment of genres. “The Legend of Marin” by WillRock & DaMonz turns the Field theme into an epic synthrock song, “Mah Boi” by PROTO-DOME turns the Mabe Village into a funky electronic jam, and “Imprisoned” by Chimpanzilla turns the Color Dungeon theme into a dubstep anthem.
As with all OverClocked ReMix community albums, Songs of the Sirens is free to download. You can download the album via torrent or ZIP file right here. You can also download each song individually on OC ReMix’s website. And if you want even more great music, check out OC ReMix’s A Link to the Past remix album Mirror Image.
