Nintendo is no stranger to collaborations, especially when it comes to the Monster Hunter franchise. Ever since Monster Hunter transitioned to Nintendo consoles, Capcom has blended the series with many other Nintendo franchises, such as Metroid, Mario, and Zelda. With the latest installment in the franchise, Monster Hunter Double Cross (or simply Monster Hunter XX), releasing on the Nintendo Switch this week, Capcom decided to highlight the Breath of the Wild DLC releasing for the game with a new HD trailer.

The initial collaboration between Monster Hunter XX and Breath of the Wild was revealed back in March when the game released on Nintendo 3DS. The DLC included an armor set comprised of the Hylian Hood, the Champion’s Tunic, the Shiekah Slate, and a bow similar in style to the Ancient Bow. With an HD port releasing in Japan this week, this content is now available on the Switch as well.

Monster Hunter XX – Nintendo Switch Ver. is available now exclusively in Japan. Capcom has stated that there are no current plans to release the game outside of Japan.

Personally, I am excited to see this DLC update, though I am still saddened by the fact that we won’t be getting Monster Hunter XX anytime soon in other regions. But what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below!
