Monday Comic Corner – Pretending I was Link

By now you should be able to instantly recognize the artwork of Zac Gorman, author of Magical Game Time. One of the best things about his comics is how he connects The Legend of Zelda to real life, and how there’s adventure in every aspect of it. Even if we don’t see it, excitement lurks in our lives, and it’s up to us to make the best of it.
This comic is no different, and you can be sure to look forward to an animated panel. However, this comic is a bit of a different Zelda comic. Hit the jump to read!
Though I wasn’t playing Zelda games when I was that young, I certainly believed that my late-night escapades to the bathroom were adventurous. Evening glasses of water are as refreshing as finding a fairy fountain, certainly, and danger hid around every corner in the dark. My house, as well as I knew it, was still mysterious without the light.
Though Zelda games exist in imaginary lands, with characters that could live in fairy tales, we still feel a personal connection with them, and we are all Zelda fans because that sense of exploration and excitement lives within all of us- that is very real.
Additionally, here’s another piece of artwork that Zac Gorman did. It’s short but good! And at least Goron Link had far superior rolling abilities.
What did you think? Let us know in the comments!
