Up this week we have a comic from a place that we haven’t seen in a while, and this time it’s a bit of a crossover between Zelda and Mario. You might be able to guess the Mario game involved, but do you know where the comic comes from? If you think you do, hit the jump to read!

Did you ever wonder why the bird themed weather vanes encouraged you not to play too long? It’s not out of concern for your health and to remind you to not spend too long looking at the 3D screen, the bird has a much more important message. In fact, in A Link Between Worlds, there’s a very good reason why the bird reminds you to save and quit every once in a while. Curious? Hit the jump to read!

With A Link Between Worlds still buzzing in everyone’s minds, this week’s comic comes from Brawl in the Family and features Ravio’s Shop! In the game we only see Link buying or renting items from Ravio, but who’s to say that other creatures don’t also use Ravio’s service? This time a moblin plays the role of the customer, and you might be able to guess how he reacts to the steep prices. Hit the jump to read the comic!

What exactly happens behind the scenes of video games? Surely there must be some goings-on outside of our gameplay that keeps everything nice and tidy. People mow the lawns. Enemies and friends have people to take care of them. Who knows, maybe Ganon even provides sufficient health care plans for all of his minions. This week, one of our favorites, Brawl in the Family, examines what kinds of jobs are available to keep Bowser able to capture Princess Peach, Mother…

I’m not exactly sure why Tingle is in The Legend of Zelda. He’s strange, that’s for sure, and for this, as far as NPCs go in video games he’s quite the famous character. Since appearing in Majora’s Mask he’s made a few other appearances, notably in The Wind Waker, where he was imprisoned for being a troublemaker. He’s a bit more useful in The Wind Waker, but still definitely his odd self. Since The Wind Waker HD’s release, Tingle is again topical, so Awkward…

Majora’s Mask is a fantastic Zelda game. Not just because it has good gameplay, a good plot, and unprecedented mechanics, but it also has some serious themes. Sure, Majora’s Mask is darker than most of the franchise, and the nearing moon is simply terrifying, however some of the underlying truths in the game, particularly how those surround Skull Kid, are amazing to realize. And of course, who better to reveal those to us than Zac Gorman with his Magical Game Time…

Ah, compases. Such great technology- allows us to find all of the treasure chests in the dungeon. Applicable to our lives, and used heavily by all of the great adventurers. Finding the New World was really a matter of finding treasure. In fact, as players of Zelda games, aren’t we adventurers too? Of course we are! So grab the nearest compass, find the jump, and hit it to read the treasure inside!

The three parts of the Triforce: Power, Wisdom, and Courage. In Ocarina of Time, Ganondorf gets the Triforce of Power, for Zelda, wisdom, and for Link, courage. Using the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf transformed into a horrible beast known as Ganon, but what exactly did the Triforces of Wisdom and Courage do for Zelda and Link? Did the parts help defeat Ganon? And who really defeated him? A Dorkly comic helps us figure that out. Hit the jump to read!

By now you should be able to instantly recognize the artwork of Zac Gorman, author of Magical Game Time. One of the best things about his comics is how he connects The Legend of Zelda to real life, and how there’s adventure in every aspect of it. Even if we don’t see it, excitement lurks in our lives, and it’s up to us to make the best of it. This comic is no different, and you can be sure to look…
