We recently covered a few interesting glitches in the Pair of Glitches article just a few months ago. Well now youtube member Robotortoise has discovered another interesting glitch in Ocarina of Time that allows you to meet Zelda after collecting all three spiritual stones. This is a normally impossible task after the escape from Hyrule Castle cutscene. After making this discovery he uploaded a video going over exactly how to accomplish this trick and describes the various changes to the area after performing it. This is an expansion of the Use Any Item glitch previously covered to return back to a now locked location. Here is what he had to say about it.

To perform this, you’ll need to use Farore’s Wind at Zelda’s courtyard using the “any item anywhere” glitch (equip an usable item over an unusable one, then mash the button for the usable item rapidly after exiting the ITEMS menu) before defeating Barinade. After obtaining the Ocarina Of Time, just do the glitch again (or go to a dungeon, if you’re lazy like me) and you will re-appear at Zelda’s courtyard. Ta-da!

This trick should also allow us to visit normally inaccessible areas like Malon’s bedroom during night, shops at night/day, etc.

You can check out his video just after the jump

The video is ten minutes long but the actual glitch begins at 7:04. The beginning is provided to show you at exactly what point in the game he attempts this trick

It always amazes me just what people can find with just a little time and imagination. I have played around with a few games in the past trying to spot various glitches although I was never very talented at it. I have seen the Farore’s Wind trick a few times in the past but I had not heard of anyone doing this before. It is interesting to see that Zelda is still there and still repeats her old text while every other NPC in the area is mysteriously gone. This was definitely an interesting discovery and I cannot wait to see what else can be accomplished in this game with just a little time and ingenuity.

So what do you think? Amazed by his discovery? Are you going to try this right now? Let us know in the comments below.

Thanks to Robotortoise for finding this and letting us all know about it.
